JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Measure and assess the area where the carpet will be installed to determine the amount of material needed.
- Remove old flooring and prepare the surface by cleaning, levelling, and smoothing.
- Cut carpet to size and shape, ensuring precise fit and alignment with room dimensions and design specifications.
- Install underlay or padding to enhance comfort and extend the carpet’s lifespan.
- Secure the carpet using appropriate methods, such as tacking strips, adhesives, or stretching techniques.
- Seam and join carpet sections seamlessly using heat bonding or adhesive tapes.
- Trim excess carpet along walls and doorways for a clean, finished look.
- Install and secure carpet edges using edge strips or moulding.
- Inspect the finished installation for any defects or imperfections, making adjustments as needed.
- Move furniture and other objects to facilitate carpet installation and return them to their original positions after the job is completed.
- Provide maintenance advice to clients on how to care for their new carpet to ensure its longevity.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and properly stored.
- Follow safety guidelines and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as interior designers or contractors, to ensure the carpet installation aligns with overall project plans.

Job Responsibilities:

Diagnose and fix issues such as leaks, clogs, and malfunctioning pipes or fixtures with precision.
Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of plumbing systems.
Cut, thread, and weld pipes, and assemble fittings and valves for effective pipefitting.
Install and replace fixtures including sinks, faucets, toilets, showers, water heaters, and dishwashers.
Connect appliances to water and gas lines, ensuring proper functionality and safety compliance.
Troubleshoot plumbing problems using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify root causes.
Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls to mitigate damage and restore functionality.
Ensure all work meets regulatory standards and safety protocols.
Provide courteous customer service, offering explanations and recommendations to address plumbing concerns.
Maintain detailed records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
Collaborate with other tradespeople to coordinate tasks and complete projects efficiently.
Pursue ongoing training to stay current with plumbing advancements and industry best practices.
